Day-by-Day Immersive Itinerary
Day 1:
Welcome to the Pantanal
Your journey starts when you land at Cuiabá International Airport. Our friendly team members will welcome you and take you on a scenic drive to Porto Jofre.
Along the way, you’ll travel on the Transpantaneira Highway. You will see here animals like capybaras, birds, and even caimans as you cross the bridges. Then, you will stop for local lunch before continuing the journey.
After that you will arrive at your lodge. In the evening, you’ll enjoy a warm welcome dinner and can rest to get ready for the next day of adventure.
Day 2:
Exploring Jaguarland
On the second day, you’ll head out on a private boat safari in the Encontro das Águas Reserve after breakfast. This is a wonderful place to see wild jaguars.
Your expert guide and boat captain will follow fresh tracks and signs. This is to give you the best chances of spotting a jaguar resting, swimming or even hunting along the riverbank.
You’ll spend the whole day exploring the rivers and watching for wildlife. Along the way, you may also see giant otters, caimans, capybaras and colorful birds like macaws and jabiru storks.
In the late afternoon, you’ll head back to the lodge to relax and enjoy another delicious dinner under the stars.
Day 3:
Deeper Into the Wild
By now, you would have settled well into the rhythm of the Pantanal so today let's take you even deeper. After breakfast, you’ll return to the water to focus on exploring more remote areas of the river. These quieter spots are where jaguars feel most at home and are much more peaceful.
Here you might catch jaguars behaving more naturally like walking, swimming or even hunting.
Along the way, you can keep watch for other animals too, like tapirs, monkeys, and more amazing birds. As always, lunch is enjoyed on the boat. You will return in the late afternoon. Have another hearty meal in the evening and reflect on all you’ve seen.
Day 4:
The Golden Hours
Today, you’ll head out during the best times of day early morning and late afternoon. At these times, the light is soft and golden and is perfect for wildlife watching and photography.
You’ll explore quieter river areas where jaguars and other animals are most active. Midday is your time to relax at the lodge or try a fun round of piranha fishing.
As the sun sets, enjoy one more beautiful ride on the water before returning for a calm evening and dinner.
Day 5:
One Last Look
Your last day begins with an early morning boat safari. This is the final chance to spot a jaguar or enjoy the peaceful beauty of the Pantanal at sunrise. These quiet hours are perfect for soaking in your last moments in the wild. After returning to the lodge, you’ll enjoy a hearty breakfast and pack up your things.
Then, it’s time to begin your journey back to Cuiabá. After a fantastic drive along the Transpantaneira Highway, you will arrive at the airport with incredible memories.
