Terms & Conditions

Effective date: 01 January 2024

These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings with Journey with Jaguars Pte. Ltd. (“we,” “our,” “us”). By submitting payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

1. Booking & Payment

  • A 25% deposit is required to confirm your booking. Payment is accepted via international bank transfer.
  • The remaining 75% balance is due no later than 14 days before the safari start date.
  • For bookings made within 30 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.
  • Bookings are considered confirmed only after we have received:
    • Full names of all guests (as shown on passport)
    • Any dietary requirements, medical conditions, or special requests

2. Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be received in writing. Refunds are calculated as follows:

  • 91+ days before departure: 95% of deposit refunded (5% retained for administrative costs). At our discretion, your deposit may be credited toward a future tour.
  • 60–90 days before departure: 50% of deposit refunded
  • 45–59 days before departure: 25% of deposit refunded
  • 44 days or fewer before departure: No refund

No refunds will be issued for:

  • Unused services, activities, or accommodations once the tour has started
  • Missed services without prior notice
  • Itinerary changes, delays, or cancellations due to weather, logistics, or circumstances beyond our control

Our Cancellation Policy does not apply in cases of Force Majeure (see Section 5).

3. Travel Documents & Visas

Guests are solely responsible for obtaining and carrying all required travel documents, including valid passports, visas, vaccinations, and health certificates for entry into Brazil. We are not liable for disruptions or costs arising from non-compliance.

4. Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory and must cover:

  • Trip cancellation and curtailment
  • Medical emergencies and evacuation
  • Lost or damaged baggage
  • Force Majeure events (see Section 5)

To benefit from pre-existing medical condition coverage, most insurers require policies to be purchased within 15–21 days of your initial deposit.

5. Force Majeure

“Force Majeure” refers to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, civil unrest, pandemics, strikes, or government actions.

If your tour is affected by Force Majeure:

  • We will notify you as soon as possible
  • We are not liable for delays, changes, or cancellations caused by such events
  • At our sole discretion, we may offer:
    • Rescheduling your tour
    • Modifications to your itinerary
    • Partial refunds (where possible, but not guaranteed)

6. Assumption of Risk

By booking with us, you acknowledge that safaris and wildlife expeditions involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Close proximity to wild animals
  • Travel in remote areas
  • Exposure to unpredictable natural conditions

Journey with Jaguars Pte. Ltd., its directors, staff, and affiliated contractors are not liable for:

  • Injury, illness, or death
  • Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings

Guests are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit to participate and should consult a doctor prior to travel.

7. Itinerary & Services

We reserve the right to substitute accommodations, vessels, or services of equal or superior quality, and to adjust routes or schedules as needed for operational, safety, or environmental reasons.

8. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
